UVEX Apache II Goggle

SPEED

The UVEX Goggle switches tint in 1/10th of a second. That is roughly equivalent to the blink of an eye.

CONTROL

Operated in traditional. manual mode (on/off) with a simple press of a button, or in automatic, hands-free mode. A light-sensitive photodiode is built into the eyewear frame, enabling the lens to change tint automatically to 4 different colors. The threshold of the light sensor is also programmable. so you may adjust the setting to automatically switch tint in the lighting condition of your choosing.

SAFETY

Robust design and materials protect and perform through all the rigors of field action. Pilable frame seals comfortable to face. Equipped with a ‘fail-safe’ mechanism to ensure your safety – in the event of a power failure, the lens with automatically default to clear.

CUSTOMIZE

Adjustable head strap can be worn over or under a helmet. A prescription lens mount is also available to enhance your sight even further.

Although we do not require you to register your new product, it is important to keep the following information to obtain warranty service. In the event that you would like to file a claim, e-Tint Products will require:

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
You may return any new, unopened product for a full refund or exchange within (30) days of purchase. Special order returns are at our discretion. The total refund amount is for the cost of your product, excluding shipping. Please contact Customer Support at support@e-tintproducts.com or by visiting www.e-tintproducts.com/customersupport for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and specific shipping instructions. Products returned for full refund must be in new condition and in original packaging (including all accessories that were included with the product), and returned to us within 30 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA. A 15% restocking fee may be charged for any accessories or components missing from the returned product. A purchase receipt MUST be provided with the return of any product. Products returned without an RMA will not be eligible for a refund or exchange. The shipping and duty charges for returning a product are the customer’s responsibility.

LIMITED WARRANTY
All UVEX goggle products are warranted for six (6) months from the date of purchase against any defects in materials and workmanship. This limited warranty is valid only to the original purchaser with a proof of purchase from an Authorized Dealer that clearly shows the purchase details. If you find a defect within six (6) months after purchase, please contact Customer support at support@e-tintproducts.com and tell us what the problem is, then follow the Return Policy procedure. We will evaluate your claim and based on our findings, repair or replace any defective UVEX goggle product.

Online Auction Purchases: Products purchased through online auctions (other than our primary websites) are not eligible for warranty coverage. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. Your exclusive remedy for breach of warranty will be the repair or replacement of the item as determined by us. This warranty does not affect the legal rights of customers under applicable state or national laws governing the sales of consumer goods.

EXCLUSIONS
The Limited Warranty set forth above applies only to UVEX goggle products manufactured by or for e-Tint Products and that bear the “e-Tint” trademark and logo. The Return Policy and Limited Warranty does not apply to: (a) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) any defects due to accidents, improper use, improper repair, physical damage, water damage, neglect & improper fit; (c) damage caused by ordinary wear and tear; (d) scratched lenses or altered product.

EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN THE LIMITED WARRANTY, ALL UVEX GOGGLE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NO INFORMATION OR ADVICE OBTAINED THROUGH THE CTRL™, E-TINT®, OR AMI POWERSPORTS WEBSITES, OR ANY OTHER AFFIRMATION OF E-TINT PRODUCTS, BY WORDS OR ACTIONS, SHALL CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH ANY UVEX GOGGLE PRODUCT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO PURCHASE THE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL E-TINT PRODUCTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY CTRL™ PRODUCT OR SERVICE. 1. What if the battery is empty?
As required by the U.S. Special Forces in case of no power the lenses must turn as clear as possible, the so called “fail-safe” feature. In case of an empty battery, simply charge via the micro USB cable which is in the package.
2. How can I put it on the Automatic Mode?
You can enter the Automatic mode by keeping the button pressed until the lens starts flickering. After this the light sensor will be activated. Exiting the Automatic made can be done by simply pressing the button again.
3. How long will the battery charge and last?
Charging the smart eyewear will take approximately an hour which will last for around 70 hours of operational use. The dark state is consuming voltage and will only be triggered when in bright sun. 70 hours of operational sun should last for more than a month in case of a daily 2 hour ride in the sun.
4. Is there a Warranty?
Yes, we offer a 6 month warranty period. Even if the product is not as expected beyond this period we are open to start a dialogue to ensure you remain an ambassador of our smart products.
5. What about Maintenance/Cleaning?
The eyewear needs to be treated with the utmost care as you would treat other battery powered products. Even though the lens of the CTRL ONE is stronger than most other lenses of sunglasses and it has been tested in harsh conditions, the lens is fitted at the inside with a thin Liquid Crystal film which can be damaged. For increasing the economic life of the eyewear we recommend treating with care and storing in the case in the powered off (clear) state.
6. Is the shade adjustment gradual and commensurate with the intensity of light or more like On-Off?
On-Off right now, but we are working on an intermediate state and even in the medium term a gradual changing version.
7. Is there a zero or viewing angle like LCD monitors, and does it work the same in extreme temperatures?
The viewing angle is the same as for conventional sunglasses. No major differences in extreme temperatures as Photochromics.
8. Is it a layered or coated glass or is it a uniform molecular pattern in any direction?
There is no glass, the frame and lenses are made from the same material as regular sunglasses plus a thin Liquid Crystal film and relevant electronics powering the tint change.
9. How do I recharge the battery?
The kit comes with a usb to micro-usb cable that can run off any mobile phone adapter or computer port.
10. How do I know the charging is done?
The lens turn on when the device is plugged into charger. Once charged, the lens goes to the clearer tint state. This is the indication that the battery is charged and ready for use.
11. How do I adjust the automatic threshold level?
There is a factory setting built in for normal use conditions. However, the light sensitivity for each person and situation is different. Therefore, before you use the device on the automatic mode, it is best that you adjust the threshold for switching to the ambient lighting condition that you like and are comfortable with such as tunnels.
